St. Barbara's chapel, which dates back to the middle of the 13th century, stands on the hill above the Danube in Mauthausen. Behind it, but not shown, is Pfarrkirche St. Nikolas, the parish church of St. Nicholas. Note the gate to the right, which is shown on the next page.
