Gasthof zur Traube in Mauthausen, Austria  The Gasthof zur Traube is a three-star hotel located on Haindlkai, the street that faces the Danube river; it is owned and operated by the Ortner family. I stopped here for a couple of days and thoroughly enjoyed my stay; the window of my room looked out over the Danube where I could watch boats going past. Meals are served throughout the day at the tables outside the hotel and under a canopy across the street; the food is great and the service is excellent. The Danube bike trail goes past here and this is an excellent place to stop for refreshments or to spend the night and relax in the sauna.  Note the small window on the far left; behind the bars is a small religious statue. Many of the buildings in the town of Mauthausen, Austria feature the beautiful granite from the nearby quarry.
